1. Double contact structure
The cone (1:10 taper) + end face are in contact with the spindle at the same time, which greatly improves the rigidity (about 3 times) and positioning accuracy compared to the traditional BT tool holder (only 7:24 cone contact), and reduces vibration and deformation.
2. Hollow short cone design
The hollow structure reduces the influence of centrifugal force, and the clamping force is stable at high-speed rotation (up to 60,000 RPM or more), preventing the tool from loosening. The clamping force of traditional tool holders may decrease at high speeds due to spindle expansion.
3. Internal clamping mechanism
Using internal expansion clamping (such as spring chuck or hydraulic expansion), the clamping force increases with the increase of speed to ensure safety at high speeds. However, BT tool holders rely on external rivets, and high-speed performance is limited.
4. High repeatability positioning accuracy
The tolerance is controlled at the micron level (usually ≤2μm), and the accuracy fluctuation is minimal after tool change, which is suitable for precision machining (such as molds, aerospace parts).
